Credit Account Mix Calculator
Review the types, ages, limits, balances, and status of accounts appearing on a credit profile.
Method and required inputs
Account mix is only one scoring factor. Do not open an unnecessary loan solely to create variety; payment history, utilization, age, inquiries, and derogatory information may matter more.
The analysis inventories revolving accounts, installment loans, mortgages, retail accounts, and other reported credit, together with age, balance, limit, payment status, and whether the account is open or closed.

Account mix is only one part of a credit profile. A person with responsibly managed existing accounts may not benefit from taking an unnecessary loan merely to add a category. Cost and need come before scoring speculation.
Run a stress case
Test how closing an old card would affect available credit and average age, and how a new account would add an inquiry and reduce average age. Preserve useful no-fee accounts only when they can be monitored securely.
Limits and verification
No mix guarantees a score or approval. Different models classify accounts differently, and lenders may care more about payment history, utilization, debt-to-income, recent inquiries, and derogatory information.
